Thank you very much for your participation to ROBOMECH2018 held in Kitakyushu.
We had 1,313 presentations and about 2,000 registered participations. We are really glad to celebrate the 30th anniversary of division establishment with brisk programs.
Also, thank you for your great support to review for the awards. We would like to give sincere appreciation to all people supported us. The next ROBOMECH2019 will be held in Hiroshima. We hope to meet you again in Hiroshima next year.

The Robotics and Mechatronics Conference 2018
in Kitakyushu

ROBOMECH 2018 in Kitakyushu will be held at Kitakyushu International Convention Zone from June 2 (Saturday) to 5 (Tue), 2018. The venue is directly linked to JR Kokura Station where every Shinkansen stops. It is also convenient to take air route (Fukuoka airport, Kitakyushu airport) . On June 3rd, we plan to hold a workshop, tutorial, events for industry and academia and regional collaboration, as well as 30th anniversary celebration of ROBOMECH. On 4th and 5th June, poster presentations and corporate exhibitions will be hold at the New West Japan General Exhibition Hall (approximately 5,300 square meters). Kitakyushu city of the venue is the city of the first ordinance designated city. It experienced pollution early and developed sophisticated environmental and energy related technologies. Kitakyushu City experienced aging from early (the aging rate is highest among government designated ordinance cities). Furthermore, the robot industry is one of the major industries. So Kitakyushu City has been emphasizing the development and demonstration of medical and nursing robots from early. In January 2016, it was designated as a national strategic special zone and it is promoting the demonstration of advanced nursing care utilizing nursing care robots and others. Kitakyushu city is ranked # 1 in the “region you want to live in”. Newly this year, the stadium for soccer and rugby is opened next to the lecture hall, Kitakyushu city is increasingly booming. You can also go to Kokura Castle from Kokura Station by walk (about 15 minutes). We look forward to the participation of many of you, even to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the lecture grandly.
